The Sudanese Physiological Society (SPS) is a pioneer organization of the Physiologists in Sudan.

The SPS was established on the 4th of April 1994, by a group of eminent professors:  Amal Mahmoud Saeed,  Mansour Abdelgadir Bilal & Nasraldin Ahmed Mahmoud etc..

The first President of the SPS was Prof. Amal Mahmoud Saeed ,  the mother of Physiology in Sudan , who  was  the President of the African Association of physiological Sciences AAPS (2008 – 2016). The current members of the SPS are around  235 .

The Sudanese Physiological Society  SPS is a member of the African Association of Physiological Sciences (AAPS) , as well as the International Union of Physiological Sciences (IUPS) . The SPS  is registered in the Sudan Doctors Union. The office of the Society is situated, temporarily in Physiology Department, Faculty of medicine, University of Khartoum.
